Looking Forward to the UKIPT Dublin
Among the many poker festivals which take place in Dublin each year, one of the most keenly anticipated events is the PokerStars sponsored UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT). The UKIPT Dublin tournament attracts a great number of domestic and international stars to the Ballsbridge Inn in Dublin, and this year PokerStars have guaranteed a prize pool of €250,000 for the €500.00 + €60.00 buy-in Main Event which starts on Thursday September 8th.
Ten Events Scheduled for UKIPT Dublin
The Main Event is the climax of a ten-event series which takes place over six days (Wednesday September 7th – Monday September 12th) which, because of the high number of entries expected has been extended to four days. There is plenty of complimentary action scheduled for the tour including a “Poker Triathlon in which the winner will have to battle through rounds consisting of an MTT, a 6-max sit ´n´ go and a heads-up session before claiming the triathlon crown and many thousands of €uros.

UKIPT Dublin 2010
Last year´s UKIPT Dublin Main Event was dominated by Irish players, with seven of the final nine originating from the Emerald Isle. Spoiling the party was Englishman Max Silver, who collected the €72,000 first prize ahead of PokerStars qualifier Ronan Gilligan (€43,400) and local hero Tom Kitt (€26,400) – and this year it could be you!
Satellites to the Dublin UKIPT Main Event are currently taking place on PokerStars. The packages up for grabs include entry to the Main Event, hotel accommodation and €155.00 cash, and qualifiers for these events can be found in the “Events/Special/All” section of the lobby starting from just €5.50 (re-buy).
